About My Practice

Serving Patients Since 2000

I’m Erica Burns, a licensed clinical social worker based in Frederick, MD.  I am here to help you heal past traumas and learn to cope with any difficulties getting in the way of you living your best life.

Since 2000, I have provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences. My passion is helping my clients reach their goals by guiding them on their healing journey.  Email me today if you are ready to begin the work toward healing. For more details about some of the specialized services please read below.

I am a member of the Gottman Referral Network (GRN). GRN is the primary resource for couples worldwide who are seeking professional help from Gottman-trained therapists. GRN members have received training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an approach based on 40 years of research with thousands of couples.

I am a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is a holistic healing art. Using age old yogic and modern therapeutic approaches to deepen awareness and presence, I am able to help others accept themselves more fully. Out of this acceptance my clients are more easily moved to embrace the opportunity for change, growth and enhanced well-being in body, mind, emotions and spirit.

A Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy one-on-one session consists of practitioner assisted yoga postures and a dialogue process that is client-centered, open-ended and non-directive. You will be facilitated through an experience of yourself in the present moment. And what ever happens in the present moment — physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually finds richness in relationship to the bigger picture of how you are showing up in the world in daily life — work, play, family and relationships.

Through PRYT my mission is to support my clients with moving in the direction of a life worth living – a purpose driven and meaningful life experience with less stress and anxiety and with fulfilling work and relationships.
